Nice size and shape for a variety of locations on the bike with plenty of Molly loops to tie it down.
I put three bends in it to match the profile of my fender and it worked out really well.
It’s a bag that holds gas. Easy to strap to the bike. My first one survived my regular commuting and a 3000 mile road trip to canada and around a bit and back, then finally had a seam rupture. Giant Loop immediately sent me a replacement under warranty, so I can confirm if you get a fluke failure like I did, they back their product up.
I have a KTM 500 EXC-F This handlebar bag is just the right size, it holds my glasses and a few other small things. It doesn’t get in the way of adding gas. I like it.
Bag works great. Came with a deformed spout which leaked. Took a while for company to address issue but they did eventually send new hose. Sending a video of leaking hose and multiple emails seemed a bit excessive to send a replacement hose (probably valued at 50 cents), but they did eventually replace it. Product 5 stars. Customer service...meh.
RTW PANNIERS LEAK LIKE THEY"RE MADE OF MESH
Both roll-top main body panniers and both rear roll top pockets have puddles of water from merely being rained on. And bigger ponds form in them after actually riding in rain. I understand why they sell with dry pods, but that didn't help my tools in the rear pockets, which rusted terribly, since I didn't know they were awash as well. I do not believe the dry pods would've kept things fully dry, since they are actually sitting in water in the bottom of the outer bags. I've owned many products from Giant Loop: Possibles Pouches, Fandango pro tank bag, Tillamook tail bag, Mototrek Panniers, Great Basin bag, fuel bag, extra dry pods, etc., and NONE of them are horrible like these. They've all been fabulous, I'm not sure why these are such a fail. The RTW bags cost a small fortune with the quick release brackets.
Hopefully GiantLoop will reply with a solution or replacement. I look forward to that! As it is, they could be renamed RTW: Really Thoroughly Wet
Keep this in mind if you're ever going to encounter any wetness. My Mosko and Nelson Rigg bags never had any problem like this, nor did the GiantLoop MotoTrekk panniers. Very unhappy with these, and greatly disappointed in otherwise great products.
solid rugged heavy duty tank bag
Absolutely love the simplicity and durability of this tank bag. I’ve had the smaller Diablo for 3yrs on my T7 and it’s been great, but needed an option with little more room. This works great. Sure, Mosko Moto has a slick version of this, but honestly, it’s way too complicated. If you only need one main storage space and a few zippered sections vs a bunch of bells and whistles you likely won’t use, get one of these. Also…it comes in and off easily, and fits just riding whether you’re standing or sitting.
I still dint understand why these are not the first choice for everyone. So easy to handle, they roll up out of the way when not needed, adapt to wherever you mount them, I have a 2G and a 5G.
I guess rotopacks bolted to your rig 24/7 give you more overlander "points", haha.
Very sturdy. Easy to install. I was worried it would be in my way but it’s tapered enough to steer while sitting and isn’t in the way when standing either. Sufficiently roomy for phone, wallet, some tools, snacks, gloves, all the little things you need handy. Folds away easily to access fuel tank. Will be interesting to see how it performs in wet conditions.
accepted the panniers nicely and easy to adjust to metal racking. key/locking system is different than what I've used in the past. it functions fine, just not sure of the long term performance after dusty rides. all in all the plates are of good quality.
they look well built and that there is plenty of room for a week of overnight camping. mounted up nice to there removalable and secure mounting plate
I didn't even get out of the garage with the product. It leaks at the point the drain tub connects to the bladder. It has been very difficult getting ahold of support because I bought it one month before actually using it.
