Giant Loop builds awesome bags. The Coyote bag does everything a bag like this needs to do. All that being said, contrary to what the influencers imply, this bag is not for midsize to large ADV’s. It simply doesn’t fit on the bike as intended. It was designed for dirt bikes and is too narrow to properly fit ADV bikes. If you are buying for an ADV I would recommend the Great Basin and even then grab bars etc. may need to be removed. On another nitpicking note. If you fill the smaller dry bags to max capacity they will not push down into the legs of the coyote bag.
I’ve only used them once so far but they worked great.
They appear to be well constructed and were easy to secure to my machine while full. Refilling my machine was easy and they drain out completely.
These bags are seriously large. But can be sinched down for smaller loads. They get their volume from being longer but not wider compared to other brands. Because of their size I get pretty much everything I need for extend camping trips in the bags and then I don't need a large tail bag. This makes the bike easier to handle because the weight is lower and I can move around more. And the bike is easier to swing my leg over. They are plenty tough even though they weigh 10lbs less than a certain competitor. They have been on thousands of BDR and other off road miles with me. I also highly recommend the Giant Loop quick release mounts. I would have given 5 stars but I don't like having 3 straps over the top. Fortunately they solved that on the newest generation which features just two straps over the top.
It looks well designed and made. I have not used it yet. I expect to use it on an April ride. I like the ability to store it compactly until needed.
Unfortunatly it didn't last 2 rides. 2 gallons of petroleum based fluid. Gone when I went to use it. Blader leaked.
Love these saddle bags. 2k miles of offroad use. No signs of wearing and with the synch strap, keep cargo from shaking around. Perfect cargo space for day trips! Like them so much I bought my dad a set.
Worked great for attaching GL panniers to the BUMOT racks, specifically the exhaust side, on my 2024 HD Pan America. Using GL's Mototrek panniers, and the mounts with adaptor kit work just as well as the other side w/o the adaptor. Great fit and look. Fairly easy install. Definitely recommend.
My review concerns the older version with the clear window for map viewing, and this was my only issue with this tank bag - who in 2026 needs a clear window for map viewing? I came here to suggest updating it with a cargo net or bungee cord webbing so we have a place to stow gloves.
But I see you've now updated the top cover with MOLLE-style Hypalon webbing, which is definitely a needed upgrade and addresses my only complaint with the older version. Apart from that, it's a perfect bag.
tested it with "powersports fluid" and it worked great. No leaks, no smell and mounts on bike easily. I like that once empty it can be packs up small
These are great bags You could throw them anywhere step on them run over them doesn't matter way more safe and secure than roto packs
While I have yet to actually use it, this Armadillo bag is essential for a trip my friends and I are planning in remote areas of northeast Canada and Newfoundland where the distance between fuel stops exceeds my fuel range. This 2 gallon bag will extend my range by 60 to 80 miles. It's well made, easy to pack and it fits perfectly in front of or on top of my tail bag using the daisy chain webbing and a couple ROK straps; I did a test fit. I'm looking forward to using it this summer.
It's a nice little bag for short town trips. And whatnot, but honestly, it's been too freaking cold to even get out.And ride, my brand new d r six fifty has been sitting in the garage for9 days now..... I hate the cold weather
Since I’ll be using this bag this spring and summer. I cannot rate it for its function, but it looks to be well manufactured and will fit my needs,
