TIP: Use stainless steel safety wire or thin cord to tether Thumb Screws to Pannier Mounts. On many racks, using Thumb Screws with Pannier Mounts is optional. They are intended only to prevent rattles if tubing diameter is less than Pannier Mount hooks, or to stop “creeping” from vibration.
