Recent customer question: “I am very interested in either the new Buckin’ Roll setup or the Pannier Pockets. I want the Pannier Pockets, but I was wondering if the mounting systems were much different between just the Pockets and the Buckin’ Roll system. It looks to me that the Buckin’ Roll has a lot better (secure) mounting system. Is this true? Or will the pannier pockets be fine for all riding styles? Also is it possible to purchase the Buckin’ Roll with Pannier Pockets only? I am planning to mount this to a Honda CRF250L. Thanks for any info/pics you might have.”
Here’s our reply – frankly, it is a little confusing the way we’ve named the Buckin’ Roll . . . Hopefully, this is clear as mud.

Part ONE: Pannier Pockets
The Pannier Pockets (set of 2) can be used independently with the included center attachment strap. By anchoring the front of the Pockets solidly to your radiator shrouds, then drawing tension with the center strap, the Panniers Pockets are super stable in all riding conditions. I’ve ridden in Baja HARD off road with them, customers have ridden everything from Madagascar to Grand Canyon with them – they work great and have become part of the kit that I use every ride.
Here’s our product designer’s DRZ400. The center strap can also run under the seat’s front anchor if you pop the seat off.
